Barnabe, Pedro and Florian are three young brothers and coffee growers from La Coipa. Pedro and Florian live in the village of El Progreso, while Bernabe lives in the neighboring village of El Alcanfor. Since 2014, Bernabe has managed three farms with a total area of ​​5 hectares. He grows varieties Caturra, Pache, Typica and Catimor. Pedro manages a farm called La Lucuma, which he bought in 2012 with an area of ​​3 hectares. Located at 1,800 meters above sea level, Catura, Bourbon and Catimor are grown here. Florian is the oldest of the brothers and his farm, where he grows varieties Pache and Caturra is located at an altitude of 1690 meters. On each of the farms, coffee is grown together with other trees and crops. The farms have an average of 4,000 trees per hectare. Ripe cherries are crushed on the farm and then dried in vats for 24 to 48 hours. The coffee is then thoroughly washed and dried on a covered terrace for 12-18 days. This Pedro’s lot is of the Caturra variety and the coffee has a very complex and balanced taste.
