OSTKREUZ BLEND is our house espresso blend we use daily on our bar. Easy to use espresso that tastes great as a shot, with milk or in espresso martinis.
Balanced and approachable, Ostkreuz Blend has a dark chocolate backbone with a biscuit-like sweetness and rich mouthfeel coming from a naturally processed Red Bourbon from Finca Lombardia in El Salvador. A fully-washed Caturra and Colombia varietals add a mild but complex grapefruit acidity and clean cup profile. This part of our espresso comes from a regional blend of specific coffees from small farmers in the Huila region.
We recommend starting at a 1:2 ratio when brewing your espresso but, we encourage you to experiment to achieve the result you like!
